MakerBot Makes Way into South America with 3D Printing Distribution Agreement

MakerBot employees may have received some bad news recently, but that doesn’t mean that the company isn’t continuing to grow in terms of distribution.  Partnering with Distecna, the desktop brand will now be sold in Argentina, Paraguay and Perú with Distecna distributing MakerBot 3D printers and scanners, as well as covering local marketing, customer support, and reseller training.

Mark Schulze, general manager of the Americas and Emerging Markets for MakerBot, said of the deal, “We believe that Distecna will help expand MakerBot’s business in South America with a strong local presence and logistics capabilities across borders.…
