The past, present, and future are all in digital 3D, thanks to the colliding worlds of 3D scanning, viewing, and printing at the Horniman Museum in London. In the beginning, the museum was made up of items collected by English architect Charles Harrison Townsend, but has since grown ten times the original collection to include musical instruments, an aquarium, gardens, and more. Now, those items from the past are brought into the digital present with 3D scanning, as museum volunteer and designer Thomas Flynn has digitized them and displayed them on Sketchfab.…
