3DPrinterOS Makes Its Cloud 3D Printing Open Source

After establishing a number of partnerships, adding compatibility for a number of 3D printers, and officially releasing their OS, 3DPrinterOS has made their cloud-based 3D printer management software open source, making it so that anyone can modify, refine, and adapt the cloud client for their own applications.
Now on Github, the 3DPrinterOS cloud client is being shared under the GNU Affero General Public License.  The start-up’s CEO, John Dogru, says of their motivation behind the open source release, “Our goal is to radically reduce the latency between design, manufacturing and distribution of physical products, at the point of need and time of need.…
