New Dutch Desktop 3D Printer to Seek Funding on Kickstarter

Just when you thought the desktop 3D printer market had exhausted itself, a new 3D printer manufacturer has made its presence known. Based out of the Netherlands, like its successful predecessors Ultimaker and LeapFrog, MyMatics will soon be launching its Mamba3D desktop 3D printer on Kickstarter. In order to prepare you for its campaign, we’d like to give you a little bit of precursory information about the Mamba3D.

The open source FFF 3D printer will have a print volume of 200mm x 200mm x 200mm (7.87” x 7.87” x 7.87”) and will be capable of using 1.75 mm filament to print layers with a thickness of 50 microns (For a comparison, this is a finer layer thickness than an Afinia H-Series, but not as fine as the Robox 3D printer).…
