A long time ago in a post far, far away, we told you about how Disney was using its new Star Wars acquisition to 3D print figurines from the movies with your head on them. You know, Storm Troopers with your face or you, frozen in carbonite. The company is back with its D-Tech Me experience for an event called Star Wars Weekends at Disney, starting May 16.
The experience – at Darth’s Mall, located in Soundstage 1 between Studio Backlot Tour and Toy Story Midway Mania – is similar to other such 3D scanning and printing services, except that Disney owns the rights to the Star Wars movies, so they can scan your face and put it on your favourite Star Wars paraphernalia. Added to the printing process, are a bunch of fun lights and noises, as demonstrated in the video below.…
