Up until now, the Structure Sensor from Occipital was only available for later generation iPads, with computing power capable of driving the high-end, low-cost 3D scanner. Now, however, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are about to be released with computing sufficient enough to run the Structure. The only thing missing is a case capable of attaching the Structure to the new iPhone models. Because the Structure is capable of capturing highly-detailed, full-color scans for 3D printing, Occipital has teamed with Shapeways to obtain a design from the 3D printing community. In turn, the two partners have launched the Structure Sensor Case Design Contest for iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus.…
